Digitenne test samen met nokia TV signalen naar mobile

Netherlands digital television provider Digitenne is currently testing TV signals on mobile handsets in concert with handset manufacturer Nokia, according to a report on Dutch telecoms news website Telecom.paper, quoting industry journal Kabel & Breedband.

Digitenne is providing the twenty-four-channel television signal to the west of the country for the trial, which is still in its initial stages. TNO Telecom, a research institute is also participating in the trials.

The participants expect commercial applications of the service to arrive sometime in 2007.
