50 miljoen tweets per dag op Twitter

Schreven we vorige week nog dat Twitter op meer dan een miljard tweets per maand zat, gisteren bevestigde Twitter zelf dat het aantal tweets per dag nu rond de 50 miljoen zit, wat resulteert in anderhalf miljard tweets per maand, and counting. Eric Schonfeld schrijft op TechCrunch: “At its most fundamental level, Twitter is a communications service, and 50 million messages a day is certainly a healthy number. What Twitter doesn’t say is how many of its users are responsible for those 50 million Tweets, or on average how many Tweets a day comes from each user.
