‘Webisodes’ are new frontier

Recognizing many consumers fast-forward through TV commercials or use the break in programming to change channels or get food, many companies are investing in new Internet ad campaigns to tout their products. Schick, Burger King and American Express are among the firms creating longer branded advertising “webisodes” to advertise new products and provide entertainment to viewers, many of whom spend several minutes on a site.
